**Late Arrival Clause** We kindly request that all clients arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule the appointment to ensure sufficient time for your pet’s care.
**Pick-Up Clause:**: Pet must be picked up promptly at the agreed-upon time following completion of grooming services. Pet must be picked up within 3 hours of notification of completion. Failure to pick up your pet may result in additional boarding charges at a rate of $30 and $10 per additional hour after.
**Material Fee**: A $4 Material Charge is added to all Baths, Clean Ups, and Grooming services. This helps us maintain the quality of the products and materials we use for your pet. Please note, this charge applies even if you bring your own shampoo or conditioner and is not considered a service fee or tip.
**Cancellation Fee**: To help us maintain our schedule and continue serving our clients, as a small business we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your appointment. A $20 fee may be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or for missed appointments without notice. We recognize that emergencies happen, and we’re willing to accommodate when possible. However, frequent late cancellations, missed appointments, or rescheduling may affect our ability to secure future bookings for you and your pet.
**Re-bathing Fee**: Since grooming can take 2-4 hours, please make sure your pet has had a bathroom break before their appointment. If your pet needs to be re-bathed during the session, a $20 charge may be added.
**De-matting Clause**: De-matting procedures may cause discomfort or skin irritation to your pet. Understand that the groomer must proceed with de-matting or shaving if necessary for the health and well-being of your pet. (Please scroll down to see more information on De-matting)

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. Our priority is the safety and comfort of all pets and the quality of our grooming services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
**Why De-matting is Important:**
Matting occurs when your pet’s fur becomes tangled and knotted, which can lead to a variety of health issues. Mats can pull on your pet’s skin, causing discomfort, irritation, and even restricting movement. Severe matting can trap moisture and dirt, leading to skin infections. Regular grooming is essential to prevent these issues and keep your pet comfortable.
**The De-matting Process:**
When your pet's fur is matted, our skilled groomers use specialized tools to carefully remove the tangles. Depending on the severity of the mats, this process can take time and may be uncomfortable for your pet. We always prioritize your pet’s comfort and safety, working gently to remove mats without causing unnecessary stress.
**Understanding the Risks:**
While de-matting is necessary for your pet’s well-being, it’s important to understand that there are risks involved. Removing mats, especially those close to the skin, can sometimes result in minor skin irritations, cuts, or abrasions. Our groomers are trained to minimize these risks and ensure the safest possible experience for your pet.
**Alternative Solutions:**
In cases where mats are severe or tightly bound to the skin, de-matting may not be the best option. In these situations, we may recommend a shave-down to remove the mats entirely and allow your pet’s coat to regrow healthy and strong. This approach is often less stressful and painful for your pet.
**Preventing Future Mats:**
To avoid the need for extensive de-matting, we recommend regular grooming appointments and at-home care. Brushing your pet’s coat frequently helps prevent tangles from forming and keeps their fur smooth and healthy. Our team is happy to provide tips and guidance on how to maintain your pet’s coat between grooming visits.
**Your Consent and Our Commitment:**
Before we begin the de-matting process, we’ll discuss your pet’s condition and the best course of action. We’ll also ask for your consent to proceed, ensuring you understand the process and any potential risks involved. Our commitment is to provide your pet with the best care possible, keeping them comfortable and happy throughout their grooming experience.
